The UK’s largest furry convention, ConFuzzled, is facing significant criticism from sections of its own community after organisers confirmed that babyfur meet-ups would form part of the official event schedule at this year’s convention.
ConFuzzled, which takes place annually in Birmingham and regularly draws thousands of attendees from across the UK and Europe, has long positioned itself as an inclusive event catering to all corners of the furry fandom.
However, the inclusion of babyfur programming — meet-ups centred around a subset of the fandom that incorporates age regression and infantilism themes — has proved divisive, with a vocal contingent of attendees expressing discomfort online and in community spaces in the lead-up to the event.

The controversy took a sharper turn when it emerged that at least one individual received a lifetime ban from the convention after encouraging others to email ConFuzzled directly with their concerns about the matter.
Critics argue the ban represents a disproportionate response to what they characterise as legitimate feedback, with some suggesting it signals that the organisation is unwilling to engage in open dialogue on a sensitive topic.
ConFuzzled declined to address the specifics of the situation when approached by UKGlimpse, instead referring to a previously issued statement. That statement reads in full:
“ConFuzzled has a zero tolerance policy regarding harassment or abuse when targeted at attendees or staff. We also will take a harsh line with anyone who seeks to undermine our relationships with venues or suppliers. In line with this we have issued a number of bans to individuals who were engaging in the above conduct. Banning people from our event is always something that we try to avoid. CFz should be a safe event for all people who identify as furries. However, in some circumstances the conduct of individuals is so severe that we are left with few other options.”
The statement does not directly reference the babyfur programming or confirm the circumstances surrounding the bans.
ConFuzzled did not respond to follow-up questions.

For some, the bans — particularly those perceived to stem from critical rather than abusive conduct — risk setting a troubling precedent for how dissent is handled within organised furry spaces.
ConFuzzled has not indicated whether it intends to issue further comment or revisit any of the decisions made.
UKGlimpse contacted ConFuzzled for comment. The organisation declined and directed us to the statement above.
