Beachgoers are being advised against swimming at Llangrannog and Cilborth beaches along the Ceredigion coast following an “abnormal” pollution event. Signs have been posted at both locations to alert the public. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) reported discoloured water from the river Hawen flowing onto Llangrannog beach around 08:00 BST on Friday. The incident was linked to a slurry leak on a nearby farm, and an environment officer has been dispatched to investigate. Stay tuned for updates on the situation.
